GUIDED 9-MILE TRIP WITH SNACK
This is our most popular trip featuring nine miles of Class II, III and IV rapids. Our trip continues downstream with more whitewater action while passing through the beautiful scenery of Pisgah National Forest. See 9-Mile Trips.
GUIDED 5-MILE TRIP WITH SNACKS

GUIDED AND UNGUIDED FLOAT TRIPS
Float trips are great for people looking to get away from it all. Leisurely float/paddle five miles through the playful and relaxing lower French Broad River and enjoy all the beautiful scenery. Choose from rafts, tubes, or single and double inflatable kayaks. See Float Trips.
TUBING TRIPS

What is the youngest age child you will allow on the river?
At Huck Finn Adventures our minimum age is 8 years old for our Class II through IV level trips. For younger children we have a gentle float trip which goes for 5 miles down the lower French Broad River.
Which whitewater rafting trip is best for my family?

What if it rains?

What kind of clothes should we wear on the river?
We suggest you wear comfortable synthetic clothing: No Cotton! Wear shorts and T-shirts and/or bathing suits for hot summer days. In Spring or Fall we provide wet suits for your comfort and safety. Old tennis shoes or river sandals that strap to your feet are required for all guests. No flip-flops! Make sure to bring a towel and a full change of clothes. See: What to bring and leave home!
How do I keep my car keys from falling into the river?
On your whitewater rafting trip, you will not need money, car keys,
wallets, purses, expensive jewelry, non waterproof cameras, cell phones, beepers, etc. At our outpost, we have a lockbox where you can put your car keys. Other items you don't want to get wet we suggest you to lock them up in your vehicle. Remember keys stay with us!
Can we bring a cooler for our lunch.
On all Float Trips you are allowed to bring small to medium sized
coolers (no styrofoam coolers please). Be sure to bring something to eat for your stop at Murray Branch picnic area. Click: About meals
