GUIDED 5-MILE TRIP WITH SNACKS

GUIDED AND UNGUIDED FLOAT TRIPS
Float trips are great for people looking to get away from it all. Leisurely float/paddle five miles through the playful and relaxing lower French Broad River and enjoy all the beautiful scenery. Choose from rafts, tubes, or single and double inflatable kayaks. See Float Trips.
TUBING TRIPS
Tubing trips last approximately 1 - 1.5 hours with small rapids and great relaxing swimming holes. $10 per tube. See Tubing Trips.

At Huck Finn Adventures our minimum age is 8 years old for our Class II through IV (9-Mile & 5-mile guided rafting) trips. For younger children we have the float trip or the tubing trip that children 4 and older can do.
Which whitewater rafting trip is best for my family?
If everyone in your family is 8 yrs old or older, we recommend either the 9-mile or 5-mile guided whitewater rafting trips. If your family is looking for an unguided leisurly trip, we recommend either the float trip or a tubing trip. Some groups or families can split up and do whitewater and float trips then meet back at the outpost after their trips.
What if it rains?
What kind of clothes should we wear on the river?
Wear clothing that you are comfortable in. Shorts, tshirt, bathing suit, etc. If it is raining or chilly, we will provide foul weather gear for you. No flip-flops or bare feet. Old tennis shoes or sports sandals work great. We also have shoes for rent in the outpost
What do I do with my car keys, wallet, cell phone, etc.?
On your whitewater rafting trip, you will not need money, car keys,
Can we bring a cooler for our lunch.
On all Float Trips you are allowed to bring small to medium sized
